Home Improvement Stage

Vanessa DeLeon, New York designer and TV personality, gained design inspiration from her Cuban roots and the Art Deco styling that is part of her cultural composition. She will share her ideas and help show attendees identify "what inspires their design" in her first speaking engagement in South Florida, March 28 and March 29th at 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm at the Miami Home Design and Remodeling Show.

Her impressive resume includes her most recent competition on NBC’s American Dream Builders. A featured designer on the hit show Restaurant Impossible-The Food Network, HGTV's Generation Renovation, Designer Challenge, Bang for your Buck, Design Star, DIY's Rev Run's Renovation, Ice Loves Coco and Bravo's Million Dollar Listing. Vanessa had a segment on PIX 11 "Vanessa to the Rescue" and was a featured host and designer for You Tube's Channel Spaces TV "Your Place is a Deal Breaker". In 2007, the IFDA and legendary Jaime Drake named Vanessa as the Rising Star of Interior Design.

In addition, the home improvement stage will be home to several guest speakers throughout the weekend including:

Culinary Experience Cooking Stage - Celebrating Latino Flavors!

The Culinary Experience Cooking Stage is a popular feature of the Home Design and Remodeling Show. Guest chefs for this show will Celebrate Latino Flavors in live cooking shows each day. The audience is treated to an entertaining cooking demo AND delicious samples of the nutritious recipes prepared by South Florida guest chefs.

Chef Adrianne Calvo, chef/owner of Chef Adrianne's will headline the stage Saturday and Sunday at 3:00 pm. Following her cooking shows, Chef Adrianne will sign copies of her new book #Maximum Flavor Social!

Friday night, Letty Alvarez, of LA Sweets will delight show attendees with delicious cupcake treats (she has a tasty surprise in the works for her cooking show that evening!). Letty’s obsession with baking was further fueled when The Food Network approached her to be a contestant on the hit show Cupcake Wars. Soon after that show aired, she was asked to apply and was personally hand selected from over 75,000 applicants by Cake Boss reality star “Buddy Valastro” to compete with 12 other bakers from across the country on TLC’s reality hit show “The Next Great Baker”.
